Senior DevOps Engineer – Remote

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for working with developers and operations staff to deploy and manage code changes and ensure that systems are up and running smoothly. To be successful in this role, the DevOps Engineer must have a deep understanding of both development and operations processes and a strong technical background.

Responsibilities:

CI/CD Pipeline Management
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines on GitLab.
- Automate deployment processes and improve release management.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, and/or CloudFormation.
- Ensure automated provisioning, configuration, and scaling of infrastructure.
Cloud & Containerization
- Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (AWS).
- Work with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Monitoring & Logging
- Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Improve system observability and proactively address performance issues.
Security & Compliance
- Implement security best practices for infrastructure and applications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with development teams to optimize workflows.
- Advocate for DevOps best practices and culture.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and KMS.
Strong scripting skills in one or more of the following languages: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are a plus.

Salary: $150,000 - $175,000/yr plus bonus & equity.
